Downloading to Mac using Servlet

Hi All
My servlet , downloads different files, given the name of the file...and when I am trying to download a Mac .sit file it is not getting un-stuffed after it got saved to the Mac. The Content-type I used is apploication/octet-stream.
Is there any way to make it work?
