Hi!, I am starting on a new assignment which has EJB, Servlets, JSPs. I want to know what application servers do I need for running this application. I have been using tomcat for JSP and servlets and weblogic for EJBs. But I want one application server for running everything togther and I have Windows '98. (too much to ask, is it?). Or any combination(s) will work? Please help. Thanx in advance.
Try the free EJB container JBoss at http://www.jboss.org. This is an open source EJB container that can be integrated with Tomcat. Actually you can download a version that includes Tomcat. I have read many good reviews on this product. JRun 3 is a bit buggy but for development, its free. David Sun Certified Programmer for the Java2 Platform

What version of Orion do you have? The current version is certainly not the first version, and the documentation has come a long way (even though it has still more to go). If you don't like the Orion documentation, you certainly won't like the jBoss documentation Also, the latest Orion has some handy tools for EJB generation, EJB-JAR, WAR and EAR packaging, and application deployment. (Try running some of the jar files from the Orion directory, and try running Orion with the -console flag). If this is your first J2EE experience you will have a tough time with just about any application server. Persevere, and read every shred of documentation. - Peter
