CAn u do recordset paging in jsp's as u do in asp's

You can use a while loop before the actual display of records to skip n number of records, where n is the number of records already displayed. The same jsp file should be called with the number of records displayed when the user clicks Next button.

With JDBC 2.0 and later, you have random access to the result set. If you specify TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE in the createStatement method, you can position the database cursor at any record in the result set and read forward or backward.
