I have a puzzle to resolve. If you click here you will see a simple webpage generated by the servlet in response. No big deal. Its essentially a HelloWorld servlet but try clicking on the e-mail tag "mbradsher@silentlabs.com" and you'll get a strange servlet 500 error. Once the HTML get sent back to the sender, it is the browser that has to implement the <a href"mailto:mbradsher@silentlabs.com"> tag. I find this reaction strange. Has anyone encountered this before? http://www.mycgiserver.com/servlet/meadowlark.SunsetPlaceReservations Meadowlark Bradsher

I wish I could edit that thread title. It should be "Servlets and anchor tags?". I saw the typo just after I hit submit. Oh well Meadowlark

Do a view-source and you will see: <a HREF=& q u o t ; MAILTO:mbradsher@silentlabs.com & q u o t ; > (I had to add spaces to make this show up right) NOT the correct format - what is substituting & q u o t ; for the " mark ? <a HREF="MAILTO:mbradsher@silentlabs.com" > Bill ------------------ author of:
