Hello there,
I need to develop a web application using Servlets, JSP and simple Javabeans (not ejbs). The rdbms used is Oracle 8.x - jdbc thin drivers for Oracle 8.x
What environment should I preferably choose for developing and deploying?
Can anybody refer me to some site where I can get hold of some samples for the same?
thanks
Panchalee

Hai,
If u are using only jsp,beans etc,i would recommend using Tomcat webserver.
Tomcat is a standalone server.
But if u are using stuff like python,then u have to use Apache since Tomcat does not support it.
U can download tomcat from--->
http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-tomcat/release/v3.2.1/bin/

Hope this helps,
regards,
kichu.

Thanks kichu,
I have downloaded tomcat - will start off immediately.
Can you also help me with a query which I have posted under J2EE-EJB?
