This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
We have developped a web application with a "start-up" servlet that reads an xml properties file and creates a connection pool. But it is possible that this servlet fails in his task for differents reasons (dbConnection disable, DTD check failed.....). In this Case I would like not to start the application and only log the problem. I thought I could use System.exit(-1) but it is too drastic for me. Is there a way to undeploy the application on the web Server from this servlet? ------------------ Benjamin lonard evisor
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
