What changes do I make to tomcat so that it refreshes servlets. Right now it is not refreshing the files at all unless I renmae them which is a big hassle. Thank you, sincerely, tarun ------------------
Tomcat is supposed to check servlet class timestamps and reload them. The servlet must have an entry in the web.xml for that application. In the server.xml file look at the example Context declarations, you should have the attribute reloadable="true" for the application. Bill
I use Tomcat 3.2.1. When ever I recompile my servlets and click the refresh button on the browser tomcat loads my updated servlets. As for automatic reloading, I am not sure. I just know I don't have to restart tomcat inorder to see my changes.
