Hi Everybody,
Can somebody help me out with this problem:
I am using Dynamo Server 5.1 where if you create a application then the jsp's corresponding to that application comes under a folder called..web-app.Now when i run the darina tool for generating the .dar file ,things work fine and i then run the application using the url as below:
http:\\localhost:8840\<app-name>\
But now when i make some changes in the jsp i am calling, say index.jsp and when i try to refresh the page ,the contents dont appear at all .If i delete the application folder from the "pagebuild" folder which contains the jsps even then theres no effect.Can anybody please suggest some solution at the earliest.fast....
Thanx...

am not very sure haven't used the app server ur talking about.
I guess u meant that you are deleting the folder which has the corresponding .java files (for jsps) from that folder right?

Are you deleting the compiled jsps from the web-inf folder?
You might have to restart the servlet container, also.

You would need to restart the Dynamo Application Server to see
the effect of changes in your JSP. Any time you change the
JSP file, you would also need to stop/start Dynamo.

Hi!,
This seems to be a global problem. Actually we have to make the cache disabled because the pages that we are serving are dynamic. Now you can try ....
<%response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-cache");%>
at the top of the jsp before any thing. Also for added advantage if your jsp has the HTML <head></head> tags you can use a meta tag ...
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="now">
in the head tags to expire the page as soon as it gets displayed. For each request it will then fetch a new copy.
