Tomcat just shuts itself down!!!! HELP

Running Tomcat 3.2.1 with Apache Server 1.3.20 on win2k server with MS Access db.
For some strange reason, whenever I attempt to query or update the database (using jsp and a java bean), the query or update gets executed correctly, then Tomcat shuts itself down automatically!! I have re-installed Tomcat and it still does this.
Any help or suggestions would be fantastic.
PS: otherwise, tomcat works just fine....only a problem when trying to use database.
