JSP and XML transforms

Any one have any opinions on the best way or a good way to use JSP and XML transforms together?
thinking about the design perspective. Is it better to <jsp:include> transformed data from a file into a JSP or just handle it as a stream or just write all the <html> tags in the transform and display that?
What about passing a class the JSPWriter and write the transformed results directly that way?
Any good working models or ideas?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
