Can i use request.setParameter in java class

hello ,
I am using jsp and java class for the front end and backend respectively , my requirement says to setparameters by default , can i use it .??
if yes then how .

Sounds like a question for the Servlet/JSP forum, but as pointer:
there is no setParameter on the request object. You need to use setAttribute which allows you to set objects on the request.
