how does SMS on web work?? is it done using JSP or any other scripting?

As I understand it, SMS does not use HTML, therefore there is no reason to use JSP. A servlet is what you need.

To send sms from your pc u would need an sms gateway server and alot of configurations and so ... plus u would need the right API with methods that will easily enable you to submit your SMS packet.
is a site that gives u just that .. u can download their Java SMS-API and use it in a normal java program let alone servlet, the problem is that it is only free to send sms messages to a virtual device with your ID when u register with them only for development purposes. To actually send SMS u would need to purchase something like SMS credits and each time u send SMS from the program you use up your credits.
Try it for the sake of finding out more on what the SMS message consists of.
