Hi all,
I have a window which contains a calendar for the month. Each day has a link to view the day's agenda. So the 1st half of the window displays the calendar. When the user clicks on a day to view the agenda, I bring up a login window(a form which post to a servlet). When the user submit his/her name, I do some validations and close the login window. How can I reload the main window so that if shows the calendar(1st half) and the day's agenda based on the user name entered in the login window.
Thanks,
Francois

Hi Java ? ,
Why not have a modular page that submits to itself like this:
Top part: calendar - always visible
calendar submits a day_ID
Bottom part:
if day_ID is null show simple text "no date has been selected"
if day_ID is not null show login part......
login part submits login data (and the day_ID will also be submitted)
a bean can return true if login OK
if login is true and day_ID is not null....
show data for the day_ID.

It makes for a long page at first but once you get it working and you are happy with the design you can streamline it using beans.

Hope that helps,
