a client wants to webcast his conference "live", has Sun developed any classes to implement it in the servlet..???

Good grief. Don't try to develop something like this yourself. That's insane. Streaming media is a HARD problem and not something you put into a servlet.
Go look at RealMedia and buy their streaming video solution, or one of the other commercial competitiors -- that is unless you really WANT to waste a few million dollars in development...
