Does anyone know of a way to present some sort of status bar or gears to a user while uploading a file? For instance, I have a web app that allows users to upload very large files. While the file is being uploaded and processed (parsing and storing into a database) I need to give the user some indication that the file is being worked on.
TIA,
Kim

Hi,
U can create a applet with progress bar control and run inside the thread so that it will execute up to that time of loading.(this is for web based app.).

Is there any way to do this without creating an applet? I've seen something where the response is being written before the processing of the file begins but I can't find the code.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
