servlet chaining and servlet tunneling

Hi,
I am littlebit confused of differentiating servlet chaining and servlet tunneling.
Could anybody please explain me.

The idea of servlet chaining was replaced by the "Filter" concept in the latest API - a much clearer concept.
I never heard of servlet tunneling.
