Hi all,
I got a servlet with the "refresh" header set to 30seconds. THe problem is that on the client, IE makes the "click" sound when it refreshes.. is there a way to disable that from the servlet side?
thanks

Yeah, turn off the volume on your computer. Just kidding .
I am involved with a project that has some pages that refresh also and that click is very annoying. I would be very interested to see if anyone knows how to solve this.

What are we talking here? I'm on NT4 SP5, IE5 and I've never heard this clicking noise...
Can you drop some sample code or a walk thought on how to reproduce your refresh?
ta,
Dave.

"csol",
The Java Ranch has thousands of visitors every week, many with surprisingly similar names. To avoid confusion we have a naming convention, described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . We require names to have at least two words, separated by a space, and strongly recommend that you use your full real name. Please log in with a new name which meets the requirements.
Thanks.
