Is there andy difference between "Servlet" and "Servlet engine"? If yes, what are the differences?

A Servlet engine is what a servlet runs on. It's the common name for a server that the server runs on. A servlet, which you write, is an object that resides in the web server/servlet engine, and it extends the functionality of a web server/servlet engine.
