Error 404: Using Tomcat

I have Tomcat installed on my machine. When I try to run the BookStore application given in Sun's tutorial, it gives No Found (404) error. The command I used to invoke the servlet is: http://localhost:8080/bookstore/enter
I am able to see the Tomcat's home page when I type http://localhost:8080. But when I try to run any other application, I get the 404 error. What should I do?

I am able to run the example now. Earlier the problem was, I put the .war file in the webapps directory AFTER starting the Tomcat.
