(In addition to my question before. ) I've created 2 servletjava: Userlogin.java(code below) -> create a session and user object (using UserLog.java), display "logined in" if user object found. UserLog.java (code below) ->user object storing simple username. The session seems expire in 10 mins, but what I expect is User Object expire only when the browser is closed. Is their any way I can set or I need to set in tomcat? Thanks [ Code snipped by Mike C. ] [ please don't post your code twice ] [ here's a link to the first question ] http://www.javaranch.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=007236 [ January 23, 2002: Message edited by: Mike Curwen ]
When the session expires depends on what you have set, if you have set it, maxInactiveInterval to be. If you did not set it at all, I believe most servers just expire the session after 30 minutes of inactivity. And ofcourse, when the browser is closed.
