Is there a limit on the parameter value passed to a servlet?
I am passing a very long value into one of the parameter which is accessed by a servlet. This long string value is causing "connection lost" problem. It gives some kind of message like connection lost or sometimes it displays with Page cannot be displayed(IE browser message). But if i break down this string into small string then it works fine.
Could anyone please help me understand what the problem is.
Appreciate your help.
Thank you!

You don't say which METHOD this parameter is passed with. GET or POST?
GET (the only method available using query strings in URLs) have size limitations depending on the server.
Method POST doesn't have a limit (theoretically).
