There you can download the pdf of I think the most sold book about servlets and jsps (4.5 stars of 5 with 190 revisions @amazon).
Its a little, but not much outdated (covers JSP1.1 and Servlets 2.2 specs.
Tomcat 4.0 supports JSP1.2 and Servlets2.3 (slightly newer, but the difference is not that big)
