Attribute vs attributes

hey folks,
while studying for scwcd i payed attention to the fact that in 3 different sources -
sun's servlet specifications, sun's j2ee tutorials and o'reilly essay - listener interfaces ServletContextAttributeListener and HttpSessionAttributeListener called ...AttributesListener (attributes, not attribute!). is it about a same typo in all those sources, or the reason is somehow deeper?

Sounds like somebody made a typo and the rest copied it to me.
