How it works....

I have programmed enough with servlets that I know the very basics of what happens. What I want to do now is really dig deep into how servlets work and the container of the Web Server (i.e. Tomcat).
So I would like to begin with some fairly in depth documents on how an HTTP Web Server works and how it handles responses and requests. And then I will move into how Servlets begin to fit inside of that world via the Servlet enabled Web Browser.
So I am asking for links to information/books on these topics if anyone has any.
Thanks.

There is a really cool book by O'Reilly - Java Network Programming which takes a fairly good look under the hood of HTTP Server dynamics.

Its not what you do, its the way you say you've done it.

Thanks Matt. A friend of mine has this book, so I will take a look.
