Can anyone recommend a good web host for JSP/Servlet applications. All that I need is a RDBMS and SMTP ( I need only to send e-mail not recieve). I would prefer it to be free, and if there is a cost I want one where I am not spending more than $10 a month. Thanks in advance for any help (suggestions).
I use uniqhost for all my servlet jsp sites (6 & counting)...I cant say enough about this guy & his service.... 1.5 years with him & not one major complaint. It isnt free but once you see the price ($3 US a month) & what you get for it you will freak. It supports servlets/jsp on tomcat, coldfusion, asp via chilispot, comes with MySQL dbs & phpMyAdmin to administer them, PERL 5 & a tons more... The company is based out of Malaysia & the server admin is wonderful to deal with. the url is www.uniqhost.com [ November 04, 2002: Message edited by: DC Dalton ]
This almost seems too good to be true? I am also looking to change my web hosting service. I don't mean to be nosy, but can I take a look at one of the 6 JSP sites you have hosted with them? I would like to see how this works. thanks! Kevin Thompson
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
