Having a problem to update my tomcat

I have an application, which have package contain class, it is working perfectly in tomcat 3.2.1. B/c i have define my classpath as
obviously, my folder in webapps folder.
Now, the problem is when i go for tomcat 4.0.1, i am getting eroor,
class path is missing, or that package is not accessable.
i have set the same classpath using environmental varible and make my context in server.xml.
I am moving to tomcat 4.0.1 only b/c 3.2.1 have cache problem.
plz help me

Tomcat 4 makes a great improvement in reducing the classpath hassle. I believe the changes are thoroughly covered in the documentation.
