How to stop a servlet initiated by JRUN?

Do hope I can be as clear as possible. Problem overhere is that a Uniface URD servlet is started by JRUN3.1 on Iplanet4.1, the Uniface application server is having an ASV, and between de webserver and applic server is a firewall. After a while of non activitye bwteen the 2 servers the firewall blocks the communication between the 2 servers (seems logical). But the servlet started by JRUN wants to use the started ASV when the servlet is initiated by a new user. Since this is not possible because of the firewall block, we get a time out error message bij the Uniface servlet. What we want to do is to stop the servlet at JRUN, but we cannot find anything how to do that (at JRUN and Uniface). It is possible on an NT/IIS platform but we do not use that.
Configuration here : Solaris / Iplanet / JRUN / Uniface application server
kind regards,

Rene Haring
