cache problem using Jakarta taglib

Hi,
I've been converting my .jsp pages to JSTL expression language. The first tag I added is from forColumns tag from Jakarta's Sandbox (I don't know if this is part of JSTL, but it uses the expression language, so I'm guessing its an add-on of JSTL? - doesn't matter for my question, though
My problem is that before I added the forColumns tag I was using a out.print(categoryDAO.getCategories()), and the browser would not cache the list of data. Now that I'm using the tag, I have to hit refresh in my browser in order to view any changed data.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Thanks,
Travis
