I am looking for a solution that will allow a user to drag and drop files from local drive into browsers window(OR be alble to select mutliple files/ directory from dialog box) and have those files uploaded. I have found 2 solutions that seem to do the job but both are very expencive. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything like that out there that is open source or free. It can be anything from applet to activeX component as long as I can integrate it with server side java.

Thank you

You can use commons package
to build your own file upload.

Well the server part of it is not a problem, it's the client side that I am concerned about. Need an interface that users can simply drag and drop files into or be able to select a directory for upload from the browser.

Please change your name to be compliant with JavaRanch's naming policy. It should not be obviously fictitious.
Your displayed name should be 2 separate names with more than 1 letter each. We really would prefer that you use your REAL name.
You can change your name: here.
