SSL NoSuchMethod exception

following is a message that I sent off to technical support; however, I don't really trust tech support's capibilities in these matters, so I was wondering if any of y'all here at the Ranch might have some input.

While attempting to test our shopping cart site, I received the following error while attempting to connect to Authorize.net to test credit-card transactions.
Please look into this error. I would appreciate a speedy response. If you require it, I can provide the code that we are using to try to connect to Authorize.net.

The "NoSuchMethod" exception makes me think that somehow, incompatible versions of the code are existing; however, the stack trace seems to indicate that the incompatibility would exist not in my codebut somewhere in the server's files. Does this make sense?
