Response Problem

Hey guys,
Can any one help me with this one
I am using the response.getOutputStream()to create and write to an xml file.
This file is uploaded on the client side by using the following code
response.setContentType("application/download");
response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=\""+ sFileNamePath + "\";");
It uploads the file correctly at the client side. However after carrying out this function no other forwardto(req,resp) works.
In my application I have several other href links which calls other servlets.Even these do not work . NO error is displayed when the other href links are clicked.
I understand that once response is used for writing to the client side then it cannot be used for anything else.
But then how can I display another screen(jsp)to the client.
Beause of this my application stops working after the uploading is done.
For writing to the file I use XMLWriter w.
the strange thing is that it works perfectly well in Netscape4.7,6.0 and IE4.0,IE5.0.
However it gives the above problem in IE6.0 and IE5.5
Any answers?
Thanks
Abir
