I'm a Chinese student,so my English is not very well,
I wrote a which returned the time,I put it under the WEB-INF/classes/dates.
and use
<jsp:useBean id="clock" scope="page" class="dates.JspCalendar" type="dates.JspCalendar" />
<jsp:getProperty name="clock" property="year"/>
<jsp:getProperty name="clock" property="month"/>
<jsp:getProperty name="clock" property="dayOfMonth"/>
it can pass in my local host(resin2.1.9+jdk1.4)can pass the local test,
but when I put them under the hired space(resin2.1.9+jdk1.4) WEB-INF/classes/dates,can produced the .class files,but the jsp web can't see the javabean's result.

Exactly what error do you get?
Does your JSP import the "dates" package?
