I want to generate excel report from servlet/jsp.
if someone has done this before will pass this information to me.

You can output a tab delimitted text string to produce a basic Excel report. If you want to do anything more complicated, you need to use a framework such as Apache's POI

An alternative to POI is Java Excel API, which is an open source API for reading and writing Excel files. For basic operations you probably can't go wrong with either one.

By changing the content type any HTML table will become a spreadsheet.
