I have been in search of a good resource that provides most if not all non-vendor specific elements that can reside in the web.xml file. Does anyone know of a good resource for this?

In the links for the SCWCD forum, there is a diagram that Ersin had created that shows a good representation of those tags.
Here.

That's a good diagram. Now I just need something a bit more detailed.

How about looking at the DTD itself...?

Also try looking at the DTD for the examples with Tomcat, sometimes seeing an actual web.xml with real values. Currently I am reading the Exam Cram book on the SCWCD exam, and they kind of describe the tags, but I feel they are a little inadequate for someone just learning. I mean I have already passed the SCWCD a while ago, and I was even a little confused.
I think the Servlet/JSP specs have a little more description too.
Good Luck.

Thanks all. I will see what I can find in the DTD's and Specs.
