Fairly new to using servlet and not totally familiar with client-server technology. Looking for a way to do the following:
-User clicks a link that leads to a servlet.
-While that servlet is loading, the server send to the user a temporary message page indicating: Please wait while the server loads the page.
-When the server is finished all server side processing and is ready to push the page, the server then replaces the temporary message page with the user-requested page.
Not sure how to implement. Any help would be great.

Hi,
Post all your data to a wait page; this wait page displays a message saying "please wait blah blah". The Wait page copies all the parameters of the requests, and posts them to the servlet using a something like:

The wait page then forwards itself to the servlet, and while the server is busy, it displays the "wait bla bla" message.
One small remark: your 'Back' button navigation will change it bit, because you've stuffed a page in between the form and the result (you'll know what I mean when you see the bug report
Hope this helps.
