Hey, I was there just two weeks ago! A friend of ours was getting married there. It sure is a pretty place. I'm from Holland by the way, originally from the South but now I live in the Hague. Which is a town.

Frank, You're from Ipswitch? I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters from 1989-1992. I absolutely loved it there. I spent much time in Ipswitch. I really miss it back there to tell you the truth. Great people (for the most part, just like anywhere), great country, great beer.. what more could you ask for? Well, better weather maybe, but ya can't have EVERYTHING. I even got hooked on Brit TV, including the Aussie imported soaps (at the time I was more into Home and Away then Neighbors, insipid shows but oddly addictive). Someday maybe I'll make it back there. Ohh, I have quite an interesting history too in the past I lived in: -Holland 1.5 years -Singapore 2 years -Belgium 2 years -Russia 7 years and now I am in UK
Kirill, I was in Singapore from 1992-97. Worked in various places there: City Hall, Tanjong Pagar, Sungei Kadut, Raffles Place, Woodlands, and NTU. Hung around some with the Ang Moh crowd at the Boat Quay on Fridays, too. My favorite memory of Singapore: Grilled stingray at the Newton hawker center. Yummmmy... Small world... Cool you worked in the Raffles Place? I have eaten there once it was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. I was in Singapore 1995-97, I lived in Jurong East just where Chinese Gardens are. Singapore brings a lot of good memories: tasty food, warm weather the whole year, fantastic shopping centres, endless skyscrapers, nice girls... I really loved living there.

You probably had that meal at the Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the famous Singapore Sling. Raffles Place is where most of those skyscrapers are. I worked at the UOB Plaza for a few months. I did also work right behind the Raffles Hotel for a year. They have really nice restrooms and we'd go in there after lunch and freshen up. After work we'd sometimes unwind at the Long Bar.

Can't possibly be talking about the same town.
Is there more than one Warrington in England? If not, maybe I judged it too soon. The wedding was in this small, picture perfect church opposite the Royal Park Hotel. I thought the whole town looked like that I must say though, the surroundings were nice. Very green and well, English.

Oh Malaysia! Its very near to India. Just 1 inch to the right. And when I asked travel desk girl how much time to Malaysia by air, she said "just one second"! We are so near....! Lansing, Michigan... about 70 miles north-west of Detroit. Spent several weeks in Sweden (Stockholm, Mora, Lanscrona). Loved it. Glorious Country to visit. Eat lots of chocolates and ice cream and bring home Dala horses.
