hi,
Is your book an advanced book about servlets and jsps?
Do you discuss new features of jsp2 in depth?
Do you think that it would be helpful in the prepration for SCWCD 1.4 certification?
thanks in advance.

IMHO, the authors does a excellant job explaining servlets and jsp. Take a look it the downloadable chapters. The authors covers servlet 2.4 in chapter 2 and JSP 2.0 in chapter 3 which looks like acceptable study material for the SCWCD. Or at least, thats what I am using them for...

I think only Chapters 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 will cover some part of exam objectives... Because chapter 4 - Exception handling is not in the exam objectives, neither chapters 12,13,14 and 15 were...
Hope it helps...

The book has several aims: to cover JSP and Servlets in detail; to present the material in a way that will promote good design; to cover the new aspects of the JSP 2.0 specification (the new Servlet 2.4 spec was mostly just minor updates).
To cover the JSP 2.0 specification we deal with the EL and with the new tag library development mechanism Simple Tags.
As for the exam, sorry I can't comment, I've never looked at the exam and have no idea what it covers.
