Clarify Servlet life cycle

Hi,
I want to know whether init method will be called when we redeploy our application..ie..What happens when we redeploy and loading the application.
Is that destroy() method is called when we redeploy?
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
