I have a webpage...with frames...3 ... top...left ..right...in the<b>rigth</b> a have a link to a servlet... in that servlet i put a text on right frame and i want to make a <b>refresh</b> of the left frame(page).. how can i do that? is it possible?

One way would be to output javascript into the right frame along with the html for showing the text.
Something along the lines of the following will probably work:
<script language='javascript'>
top.nameofleftframe.location='/pathToYourServlet';
</script>

this will help...
frame 1 to call frame 2 refresh.
top_frameset_name. frame(2). history .
go()

I resolved the problem with this:
parent.frames['stg'].location.href=parent.frames['stg'].location.href
