request.getPathInfo() returns null

I have a servlet deployed in weblogic 7.0. When I try to get the pathinfo as request.getPathInfo(), it returns null. What could be the problem.?

It means that you haven't supplied any extra path info in the URL while accessing servlet. For example, in the following URL:
http://host ort/application_Name/servlet_Name/index.html
the index.html represents the extra path info that is retrieved and displayed by the req.getPathInfo() method. So, specify extra path info after registered servlet name and access path info using req.getPathInfo() after that.
