I was an undergrad 2 months ago. Graduated CS/Physics from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. I got 3 job offers smallest being at $57K. One offer came through a old college budy of mine who was working for the company at the time. One offer was from an on campus recruiting interview. The other was from a company that I was doing an internship with at the time.
I really didn't even look for a job that hard. My focus of study at school was C++. Our CS program is really C++ intensive, and I guess my knowledge of OOP impressed an interviewer so much, that he hired me to be a Java Developer. I didn't even know Java at the time.
I'm not saying that it should be this easy for everyone. I have some friends that are still looking for work after searching for more that 5 months. But if it was this easy for me, then it can't be that hard if you really know your stuff.
