was working on a webapp quite nicely. suddenly got an error,
Http: 404
FAIL - Application at context path /btm-ut
, from tomcat. i just deleted the "work" directory under tomcat home. and i used to do that usually when changes doesn't reflect. couldn't figure out wht the problem should be. the application is there under "tomcat/webapps". and it is showing me, when i request list of all the deployed apps.
plz. help me out

when u delete work folder,server is running or not?
if then,i think u have to restart tomcat.

i restarted tomcat more then 10 times mate. i restarted my computer twice. nothin worked  .
do i need to install tomcat again? but it should not be like that.

got the error after lunch : )
my colleague made some changes in listener element of deployment descriptor.
if i know that i surely wouldn't have bugged you people.
