Hi!

I have a problem using ./configure on resin-pro-3.0.9. There are some errors regarding SSL. However, when doing the same thing with 3.0.7, I have no problems whatsoever. Read on

I have Solaris 5.9 running on 2 64 bit proccessors. Heres some info:

bash-2.05# uname -X
System = SunOS
Node = web00
Release = 5.9
KernelID = Generic_112233-11
Machine = sun4u
BusType = <unknown>
Serial = <unknown>
Users = <unknown>
OEM# = 0
Origin# = 1
NumCPU = 2

And I have Java 1.5 running:

bash-2.05# java -version
java version "1.5.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0-b64)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0-b64, mixed mode, sharing)
bash-2.05#

Also, I have the latest open SSL running:

bash-2.05# pkginfo -l SMCossld
PKGINST: SMCossld
NAME: openssl
CATEGORY: application
ARCH: sparc
VERSION: 0.9.7d
BASEDIR: /usr/local
VENDOR: The OpenSSL Group
PSTAMP: Steve Christensen
INSTDATE: Oct 14 2004 14:20
EMAIL: steve@smc.vnet.net
STATUS: completely installed
FILES: 1542 installed pathnames
41 directories
44 executables
19990 blocks used (approx)

Variables JAVA_HOME and RESIN_HOME are set properly

Also, I have resin-pro-3.0.9 aka the latest

So I unpack resin, everything looks fine. Heres what happens when I try to run ./configure:

bash-2.05# ./configure

./configure: line 9003: 24946 Killed ./conftest

bash-2.05#

So this seems to say something about libssl.so.0.9.7 where is that supposed to be?

Heres what I get running ./configure enable-64bit

bash-2.05# ./configure --enable-64bit

So what could be the problem?

CONSIDER: Doing ./configure on resin-3.0.7 goes SMOOTH, like this:

Very interesting stuff, that I don't understand. Except to not see anything in there regarding Servlets. Since I only understand it is about Resin, i will look to see if there is a forum that supports questions on it.

This should not be posted in the Servlets forum, which is for Servlet questions.

Moving this thread.
