Security in Servlet

How to implement security or SSL in servlet?. Can anyone help on this?.

SSL is a part of WebContainer or HTTP server. You could not use it in Servlet explicitly.

you need to uncomment the HTTPS entry, Tomcat would be ready to
listen for HTTPS requests, but to do so, you have to install a security certificate.

A certificate is an integral part of HTTPS. Additionally, the auth-method element must be set to CLIENT-CERT.
