Does the latest version of the Servlets spec deal differently with threads which are created inside of servlets?

Please ignore post, I have no idea what I am talking about.

Servlet containers are allowed to place restrictions on applications. The 2.4 spec, section SRV 1.2 specifically mentions restricting Thread creation.
Why not download the spec and read for yourself? This Sun site is a good start.

Indeed, WLS specifically tells you to be very careful when using threads.

Hi Scott,
Do the others application server (such as Tomcat, Resin, Oracle, IBM WebSphere) have same behavior like WebLogic?
