java html connection

hi group, i am trying to make a web page with a text field which accepts user input and then it passes that to a java program..looks easy but i didnt get the click.

Well, there are a number of ways to do this -- the Servlet API is the most general, I think, so I'm going to move this to our Servlets forum. You might want to get some general background information first by reading something like this.
