can i install tomcat in win 98.in windows xp i am getting some error.As i start tomcat some dos window comes and disappear.can anybody plz say me the problem.thanks.waiting for response dilepkrishna@rediffmail.cim

That's normal. Did you check to see if it's running by hitting with a browser?
BTW: if you want the window to stay open, start Tomcat with:
'catalina start'
instead of 'startup'.

well you should setup system environment var CATALINA_HOME to
directory where you installed tomcat....
this should help
