I finally joined the MP3 revolution...

I've been wanting to get an MP3 player for a while, and thought I would have to wait 'til Christmas due to the high price of these sweet little electronic gizmos... I also couldn't decide if I liked the smaller storage, unskippable, internal memory models, or the new MP3-CD combos that let you play tons of MP3s off a CD-R.

Well... it's not Christmas... but I just got an MP3 player... it was pretty easy to decide too...

I went into a Sam Goody ( mall music store chain ) in a nearby mall Friday, and they were having a sale... looks like they are getting rid of all their stuff except CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes. They've got lots of CD holders, shirts, and toys. Well, everyone knows I can't pass up a good sale( and this was a good sale... most of the stuff was between $1-$3... ), so me and my wife bought leather CD wallets for all our relatives ( Yay! Christmas shopping is done! ), I got a Todd McFarlane toys action figure of Tetsuo from Akira to put on my monitor at work, and I browsed through the shirts. Unfortunately, most of the shirts were lame N-Stync and BS Boys merchandise, so I passed on those. I tried to get my wife to buy a "Lady Death" lunchbox for when she goes back to school in the fall, but she said she didn't need one since she can go home to eat...

Anyway... on to the sweet MP3 deal... on the way out of the store I noticed that the MP3 players were on sale too... only two models left, the Nike PSA-Play 60 and PSA-Play 120... both were the small, internal memory type, and the 120 was marked down to $199, the 60 down to $89... both had 1/2 off stickers on them, so I called a salesperson over to ask if it was 1/2 off the marked price or the actual price... he ran a price check and said that it was off the sale price, but that the wrong stickers were on them... He said the 160 was only 25% off... I was disappointed for a second, until he said that the 60 was 75% off!!! Both me and my wife got the last two PSA-Play 60 MP3 players in the store for $23 apiece!!! I still can't believe it! YES!!! Who's the man!!!

Anyway... the MP3 player is great for the gym, never skips, and what with the great selection of music online ( Ummm... I only mean the legal ones... like ( Actually... does have some really good stuff on it... check out Collide if you're into goth/industrial kindsa music... ) ) looks like I'm going to be enjoying my new MP3 player "Christmas present" a little early...
