Hello:

Does anyone know when javax.servlet.http.HttpSession.getValue(String) (deprecated in version 2.2) will be formally "dropped" i.e. no longer available for use?

Thanks.

Karen,
It is still there as of J2EE 1.4. Historically, Sun deprecates them and leaves them there for a long time (if not forever, to date.) Having said that, you should still change over to the non-deprecated code as you touch it. Especially for something like this where the is a one to one correspondence between the old method and the new method.
