Is it possible to dispatch a request from one servlet(which is in one application ) to another servlet which is in another application?

Possible means kindly give the steps.

Yes. You specify the absolute URL for the other servlet in your request dispatcher.

You can use sendRedirect.
This, of course, won't carry the session and request data with it.
